Our Roots
We set out to craft a natural acoustic sound amplifier for smartphones. Our research (and a little common sense) found that a smooth material and conical shape would help to focus and reflect the sound from a smartphone.
Inspired by the front section of an airplane, Earthy’s distinctive nose cone shape was designed in collaboration with Serbian industrial designer Igor Dzukovski.
We loved the unique, natural color and grain of wood. We chose to work with Beech wood as a material for its natural acoustic properties and strong, solid hardwood.
We believed Earthy's unique shape would channel sound reflections from a smartphone’s speaker, through its inner surface and out of the open-end of the product.
With hours of CNC machining and quality hand finishing the first prototype was developed.
Thanks to feedback from our early customers, we realized that we crafted much more than just a smartphone amplifier.
Earthy is multi-purpose décor with uses far beyond what we imagined.
